Policy brief: children use citizen science to map climate hazards in Nepal

Abstract
Children in low- and middle-income countries are disproportionately affected by climate change, yet they are rarely invited to participate in efforts to tackle the problem. In Nepal, where daily temperatures are expected to rise faster than the global average, up to 50% of predicted morbidity and mortality attributed to climate change will be in children and young people.This policy brief describes an initiative to pioneer a citizen science approach to collect environmental and health-related data amongst Nepalese schoolchildren.
